We mixed food colouring in chia seeds in different bowls, then, put it in tuff tray to enjoy the colourful chia seeds sensory play. While playing we noticed that chia seeds had got the colour of food colouring. Even after we mixed all the colours, we still got to play with colourful chia seeds.

Easter is coming, so we decided to make Easter eggs with play dough. Kids made eggs with baby chicks inside and they all enjoyed it.

Today we tried to build the tallest tower with wooden blocks. We had lots of fun! We used a ladder to put the blocks higher. We helped each other by passing the blocks, holding the ladder, and taking turns.

Some of our friends are celebrating Ramadan!

We decided to make some card and wish our friends and family Ramadan Mubarak!

We used yarn, glue, googly eyes, buttons, to make squeeze monsters. We designed and shaped them using our imagination.

 A child was not interested in the stuffy monster, so we made monster car with him ( based on his interest)

We used bottles lids, hot glue gun, googly eyes straw and empty grocery box to build our monster car. 

We had a great time today making Leprechaun Hats! We used paint and popsicle sticks!

We had a great time this morning with our impromptu talent show! We showed off our skills and we took turns being the judges for the talent show!

We used plastic cups and balloons to make djembe ( drum) 

During this activity we talk about different drums and how different people use it during different ceremonies.

Kids loved making their own drum and their own design.  

We observed that water was soaked by water-beads. We kept on adding little water at times too for observations. While we waited, we made more felt bags using different loose-parts. 

Today we decided to make some African necklaces with kids by using paper plates.

Kids made their own designs on their necklaces.

We had a lot fun making necklaces together and learned about different cultures.

We learnt about different countries, their flags, living styles and etc.

We was surprised by the knowledge children had about the issues happening around the countries.

We are having adventures drawing experience with our friends. We had lots of laughter during this activity. We got to experience a different way to draw and it felt like we are drawing on the roof.

In this activity we used water bottles, pompoms, paint and rocks to make some sensory bottles!

What are some different ways we can celebrate Valentine’s Day? By using a variety of loose parts!

We filled up the cups with water and set a ping pong ball on the first cup in the row,

Kids blow the ping pong ball from first cup, to the second and to the last cups.

The goal of the game is to get the ping pong ball form one cup to the end without blowing it off the cup.

We are making a pretend cake and used cardboard box as the base! We used shaving cream as the whipping cream.

Children used different colours for icing. During the activity, children worked in teams and helped by collaborating with each other!

We used different material with different textures to make our wall. For example, bottle lids facing different directions, Pom Pom balls of assorted sizes, cloths with different textures, papers, dishwashing scrubs, buttons, felt and yarn. 

We felt relaxing while experiencing textures as well as discussed about what differences we noticed on this wall.

Our kids thought of this idea of a salon! Some kids were the hair dressers and the teacher was their client. They put some scarves on client’s neck, took turns brushing each others hair, and giving pretend hair cuts.

We enjoyed a lot and had fun together.
