Sensory Bags
Today we made sensory bags for the wall so that any visitors coming in can have a sensory experience! We found that they were quite a conversation piece and helped us when we waited in line to go to school!
Swahili and African Sunsets
We talked about animals and weather in Africa and we decided to paint a African sunset. We painted canvases with orange and yellow paint to give a nice sunset. Then kids added some trees and animals on their painting, and we learned some animals name in Swahili. Lion= simba, giraffe= twiga
Tic Tac Toe
We played Tic Tac Toe by sliding a disc! It was a challenge to slide the disc to just the right spot!
Dandelion Art
Did you know that Dandelion’s are not just weeds? We found out that they can help us make some creative art pieces!
Headdresses
Activity name: Headdress craft. For indigenous people, the headdress is symbol of bravery and honor the Chief. For some African countries, only the members of the royal family (Chief) wear headdresses to indicate their status to others. We enjoyed together learning about other culture.
Blind Ball Challenge
This is fun ball game in which one child is wearing a blind fold and has only 20 seconds to fill the other bin with balls. The bin with the most balls at the ends is the winner!
World Work
This week we worked together with children on this project of making flags on popsicle sticks. By doing this project we learned where our friends and family come from. Children were very interested doing this project and learned together.

In this game, one person throws a ball and kids behind that person needs to guide the person where they need to move to catch the ball. At the end the person who has more balls in their container will win the game.
Sliming Around!
Here we are experimenting with toothpaste to make slime. We added slime glue, baking soda and stirred it well until we made slime.
Flower Bouquets
May is coming soon and we celebrate Mother’s Day,
We decided to make some flower craft Bouquets today for Mother’s Day.
Fort Building
Today we had a chance to build an awesome fort in the School Age Room. We used cushions, a large tarp, mats, and got to create our own unique space!
Construction work
Today we had a chance to make a construction sensory centre where we were able to have sand, toy trucks, and construction machines to dig through.
Memory Game
How good is your memory? Can you place certain objects just like someone else? How does our memory work? Just ask David and the school agers!
Skin Tones
We are mixing play-dough colours to match it to our skin tone. We talked about the skin tone and noticed that we all have different tones! What skin-tone we would like to have if we got chance to pick one?
Different Painting!

We are painting on foil to have different experience of painting. During painting, we talked about the difference between painting on foil and paper. We observed the different patterns were made
Flower Creations
We talked about different flowers and asked children about their favourite flowers.
In this we used some plastic cup and water bottles lids to make the flowers!
Colour Blocks
Today we rolled our way through the colour block game. We each got a turn to roll the dice and see what colours it landed on. We advanced each time our colour was rolled!
Creating TeePee’s
We asked the kids if they knew what a teepee is! Some said “yes” and others said “no.” We asked the kids to describe what they know about TeePee’s to the group.
Some of the items mentioned were: “ A teepee is a house people used to live in.”
We used a variety of materials to build our own TeePee’s!
