String Painting
We had a cool art today that involved strings, paint, and colourful paper! We got to experiment by using the string, dipped in paint, and then closing the paper to create colourful designs.
Creation Station
We created different characters using cups, pipecleaners, and more! They move up and down! We were so excited to watch them move!
Rice Play
Our preschoolers embarked on a colourful adventure as we delved into the world of rainbow rice. We all eagerly took turns stirring and mixing, watching in awe as the rice transformed in to a kaleidoscope of hues. The sensory delight was palpable as they felt the grains change texture and observed the brilliant colours emerging.
Happy Birthday!
Today, we celebrated a friend’s special day with a unique and fun- filled activity. Everybody had the chance to contribute to a spectacular pretend birthday cake. Preschoolers spread shaving cream generously, creating a fluffy and delightful ‘icing’ layer. The sensory experience of the soft and smooth shaving cream added an extra layer of excitement.
To make birthday cake extra special, we sprinkled vibrant , colourful pretend sprinkles on the top.
As an educator, observing their collaborative play and creativity during this pretend birthday cake activity was truly heartwarming. Happy Birthday!
Muffin Making!
Preschoolers used different materials to make a pretend muffins, the texture of shaving cream provides a sensory experience, stimulating touch and feel senses. While engaging in creative process we used safe materials, fostering a safer environment for exploration.
Aerodynamics!
Attach a pompom to a stick and watch as it explores gravity and aerodynamics, combining creativity with simple science in fun and educational way.
Car Tracks
Preschoolers engaged in this dynamic art activity by painting with toy cars. This activity fosters creativity and motor skills while turning a simple playtime into an expressive art experience.
Lantern Making
We had a great time cutting out and making lanterns from different shades of paper! We were able to see how they looked when we hung them up!
Bubble Blowing
We experimented with different colours and blowing bubbles to make different types of pictures!
Tree Decorating
Today we had a chance to set up a Christmas tree in our room! We had lots of fun decorating it!
Diwali Celebration
We learned about Diwali today! Diwali, also spelled Divali, is one of the major religious festivals in Hinduism, Jainism, and Sikhism. The name is derived from the Sanskrit term dipavali, meaning “row of lights.” The festival generally symbolizes the victory of light over darkness.
